Technique is nothing else than an understanding of principles put into application. These principles are already present, and dont need to be achieved, e.g. that rotation becomes faster when the tuck becomes smaller. Letting these principles use your body - being at the right time at the right place with the right amount and direction of momentum and force of all body parts, is the job. And if all notes are at the right spot, you will get a sweet sound.
The younger generation teaches the older one, that the understanding of physical principles is by far more important than muscles or years of training to come far on the physical side of Pk.

One physical principle of style is minimalism - that contraction is only used where necessary. Relaxation and contraction in perfect necessary rhythm, will make movement smooth and trenchant.
Not obeying this principle makes it stiff or lax.
